We're here for you
Read the packaging first
Every product carries its own instructions and safety distance printed on the box. Those figures come from the manufacturer and always take priority over any general advice on this page.
Check the product
Make sure the packaging isn't damaged, torn or wet before use.
Read the instructions
Follow the usage instructions printed on each product's packaging.
Choose a suitable location
An open, clear area away from buildings, vehicles and flammable materials — never indoors, under a roof or near a window.
Keep children & pets away
Only a sober adult should light fireworks. Children should handle nothing except sparklers, and only under adult supervision.
Have emergency tools ready
Keep a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher nearby as a precaution.
Level surface
Place the product on flat, stable ground. A tilted or soft base can send a shot sideways.
Light with care
Light the fuse at arm's length, then step away immediately. Never lean over the product.
Move to a safe distance
Move spectators back to the safe distance printed on the packaging before lighting, and keep them there until it's finished.
Watch it at all times
Never leave a lit product unattended.
Avoid strong wind
Do not light fireworks if the wind is strong or blowing towards spectators, buildings or vehicles.
Soak failed items
If an item fails to fire, leave it alone for at least 20 minutes, then soak it in water. Never try to relight it.
Make sure it's cool
Check that the product has fully cooled before moving it.
Dispose safely
Soak all waste in water, then dispose of it in a plastic bag — never leave it at the site.
Wash your hands
Wash your hands after handling any fireworks product.
Don't hold a lit product in your hand.
Don't bend over or bring your face close to it.
Don't try to relight a dud.
Don't use fireworks indoors or in an enclosed space.
Don't use fireworks under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Storage & Disposal
Dry and cool
Store fireworks in a dry place away from heat, direct sun, sparks and flame. Never leave them in a car boot.
Away from people
Keep stock out of living areas and out of reach of children. Do not store near fuel, gas cylinders or anything flammable.
Soak before you bin
Soak all used and unfired items in water before disposal. Never put them in the bin dry.
The Law
The sale, storage and use of fireworks in Malaysia are controlled and require the relevant PDRM approvals. Hunter Boom supplies eligible buyers only. Buying from us does not exempt you from any permission your event or premises requires — check with your local authority before a public display.
If Something Goes Wrong
For burns, cool the area under running water for at least 20 minutes and seek medical help — do not apply ice, toothpaste or ointment. For eye injuries, do not rub or rinse; cover the eye lightly and go to hospital immediately. In a fire or serious injury, call 999.
